    FCM is a subsidiary of the BCA, Europe’s largest used vehicle auction Company. Well over 1 million vehicles are managed via our solutions every year. FCM develops innovative software for mapping and controlling all processes in vehicle management. We are already making our solutions available to international corporations. One of our core competencies is the consideration of our customers' individual requirements in connection with our standard application.     About the Role

    We are looking for a Product Owner to maximize the value of our products by translating business needs and customer insights into well-defined, prioritized work for delivery teams. The Product Owner acts as the primary link between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring the product vision is clearly understood and consistently executed. 

     

    Key Responsibilities 

    Product Vision & Strategy 

    • Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business goals and customer needs 
    • Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning 
    • Continuously assess market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape 

    Backlog Management 

    • Own, create, and maintain the product backlog 
    • Write clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria 
    • Use a data driven approach to define, prioritise and validate the backlog and user stories for your product area, using multiple data sources and customer insights. 
    • Ensure backlog is transparent, up to date, and ready for development 
    • Gather and manage input from business stakeholders, customers, and users 

    Delivery & Execution 

    • Work closely with engineering, delivery, design, and QA teams throughout the delivery lifecycle 
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives) 
    • Clarify requirements and provide timely feedback to the delivery team 
    • Accept completed work based on agreed acceptance criteria 

    Value Measurement & Improvement 

    • Define and track product success metrics 
    • Review outcomes and iterate based on learnings 
    • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, product quality, and customer value 

     

    Skills and Experience 

    Required 

    • Proven 2+ year experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, preferably for a SaaS company. 
    • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum frameworks 
    • Fluent in English, German beneficial 
    • Experience writing user stories and managing backlogs 
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
    • Ability to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems that may not always be well-defined. 
    • Ability to balance business, technical, and user perspectives 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 

    Desirable 

    • Experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams 
    • Familiarity with product discovery techniques (e.g., customer interviews, experimentation, design thinking, …) 
    • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence) 
    • Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) or similar
